POSITION DESCRIPTION: Program Manager
REPORTS TO: Polaris MEP Center Director

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Management and coordination of the 2 year Department of Defense grant to diversify defense manufacturing in Rhode Island.
  • Create standardized procedures for data management.
  • Manage activities related to overall grant responsibilities and reporting.
  • Identify and manage metrics required for federal, state and center operations.
  • Manage all grant scheduling and logistics.
  • Support the grant activity marketing and collateral materials
  • Support management of marketing, outreach and events for a cohesive outreach effort.
  • Support management of the Center’s Salesforce.com requirements.
  • Oversee quarterly reporting requirements for grant.

Qualifications:

  • 5 – 10 years experience with internal business operations and external client interactions utilizing contractual engagement.
  • Minimum five years of increasing responsibility with running operations of a consulting, non-profit or sales organization.
  • Experience with strategic and operations planning.
  • Strong management and organization skills, and the ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills, and the ability to effectively interface with staff, boards of directors, and financial auditors.
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
  • Salesforce.com experience is a plus but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related degree.
