Overview
Internet Of Things (IoT), also known as Industrial Internet Of Things (IIoT) and Industry 4.0, is a terrific set of technologies that helps manufacturers gather, interpret, and take action on data which has been automatically collected. It has also become a confusing, over-hyped, techno-babble that leaves many manufacturers paralyzed. In this seminar you’ll learn how it works, what it’s used for, and how to get started.
This online learning session will be nuts and bolts, jargon-free, and will offer clear, simple paths on using only the parts that make sense for your business.

About the Presenter
Josh Chernin has 30 years’ experience running manufacturing companies in the US and Europe. Most of that time was with contract manufacturers, so he was involved in many new product and process designs with customers. His experience includes medical devices, aerospace, 3D textiles, metal service centers, and printing, as well as dozens of client industries served by those. Josh has also built three factories from scratch including one in Germany, and has visited over 300 plants during his career. In the last five years he’s become deeply interested in how businesses use information already resident in their firms, how to gather it, analyze it, and put it to action. Mr. Chernin is now a Partner with Business Improvement Group, LLC, consultants to manufacturers, which is a partner to Polaris MEP. Josh has a BA in Economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He has two sons and lives in Westboro, MA.
