In 2022, Polaris MEP and the Rhode Island Manufacturers Association will host a kick-off event for Manufacturing Month that will offer 8th, 9th and 12th grade students a “taste test” of manufacturing careers.

Please commit your school to participating! Younger students may find the experience influences their learning pathways. Seniors (and your team) will learn more about post-HS opportunities.

WHAT:

A highly interactive and fun career event! Stations throughout the Providence venue will give students a chance to
• code a cobot,
• begin reverse engineering a part with 3D scanning technology,
• solve a puzzle using Lean thinking,
• “paint” fabricated metal via VR goggles,
• build a tower by applying standard decision-making processes,
• and more.

Tuesday, October 4, 2022. Buses can drop off students beginning at 10am and pick up at 12pm.
