Christian Cowan, formerly the Center Director for Polaris MEP and now Executive Director of 401 Tech Bridge talks with The Boston Globe about how a technology and innovation gap is contributing to supply chain problems. 

 Government investment shifts resulted in key manufacturing and technology challenges, which has lead to the supply chain weaknesses that were exposed during COVID 19. Today, supply chain logistics are optimized around a fragile dependence on low-cost labor to move materials in very standardized and predictable ways.
