Join Justice Assistance on Thursday, October 22, 2026, for the 44th Annual Neil J. Houston, Jr. Memorial Awards at the Providence Marriott Downtown.
Since 1981, Justice Assistance has honored Rhode Islanders whose dedication to justice, public service, and their communities has made a meaningful impact. This annual event, named in memory of Neil J. Houston, Jr., brings together leaders and community partners to recognize individuals advancing justice, opportunity, and service across Rhode Island.
The 2026 awards will recognize Kevin Barry, Lt. Colonel (Ret.), RI State Police; Magistrate John F. McBurney, III, RI Superior Court; and Jane Quinlan, Administrative Clerk, RI Traffic Tribunal. Additional honors include the Edward V. Healey, Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Victoria M. Almeida, Esq.; the R. Kevin Horan Emerging Leader Award presented to Chelsea A. Kelly, Esq.; and the Jonathan J. Houston Founders’ Award presented to The Honorable Jeanne E. LaFazia.
The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. and provides an opportunity to celebrate these honorees while supporting Justice Assistance’s mission to strengthen Rhode Island’s justice system and expand support for justice-involved individuals.
