Rhode Island’s tech manufacturing community gathered for an evening that was equal parts innovation and celebration.

Tech the Halls, at Buttonwoods Brewery in Providence, and hosted by Polaris MEP, was more than just a networking event—it was a showcase of cutting-edge technology, an opportunity to foster collaboration, and a chance to toast to another year of progress.

Featuring:

  • RI MADE had a crowd gathered around their Cybersecurity in a Box, demonstrating how manufacturers can stay secure in an increasingly digital world.
  • MxD showcased Sensor Kits designed to revolutionize data collection and analysis, sparking deep conversations about their potential impact.
  • Orbit Motion, Functional 3D, Nautilus Defense, R&D, and Dewetron each brought something unique to the table, offering insights into how technology is reshaping manufacturing and engineering.
  • One of the night’s most exciting guests was Rita Owens, Technology Transfer Expansion (T2X) Specialist from NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland. Attendees gathered eagerly to learn about opportunities to collaborate with NASA and integrate groundbreaking research into local manufacturing.

    More Than Just Tech—A Celebration

As conversations deepened and connections formed, DJ Will provided ambient lo-fi sounds while Big Nazo robots wove through the crowd, adding a playful sci-fi twist to the evening.

The Takeaway: Innovation, Connection, and Looking Ahead

The success of Tech the Halls was not just in the technology displayed but in the conversations sparked, the connections forged, and the sense of community strengthened. Rhode Island’s manufacturing sector continues to thrive, and events like this reaffirm Polaris MEP’s mission: to support and elevate local manufacturers through innovation, partnership, and shared success.

As we head into the Spring of 2025, we’re excited to keep this momentum going. To those who joined us—thank you for making Tech the Halls such a remarkable night! And for those who missed it, don’t worry—bigger and better events are on the horizon.
