Fast Track to Manufacturing  Phase 1 DOC Machine Shop Tour: Employer Meet & Greet

You are invited to visit the FTM Phase 1 Training Program at the John J. Moran Correctional Facility, part of our collaboration with the Rhode Island Department of Corrections and Polaris MEP. This initiative is designed to prepare motivated individuals for entry-level machinist positions across the state.

During your visit, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Tour the training facilityand observe hands-on CNC machining instruction.
• Meet the students, who are currently incarcerated but nearing release and eager to begin careers in manufacturing and related trades.
• Learn about hiring incentives, including wage and training reimbursements available to employers who participate in the program.

This is a unique opportunity to see firsthand how our industry partners are helping build a pipeline of trained, dependable workers—while supporting second-chance employment pathways that benefit both businesses and the community.
