In this fully-funded lean six sigma training, take a deeper dive into the tools that can help Rhode Island manufacturing companies improve, grow, and thrive.
The Phoenix Partnership at Polaris MEP is an employer-driven training program in Lean Manufacturing and critical skills necessary for manufacturing employees.
Throughout level 100 courses and/or “one day Lean” training, students have learned and applied lean and six sigma methodologies, including 5S, SOP and quality tools. In this level 200 series, we will take a deeper dive into the lean six sigma tools. We will explore and apply several brainstorming and problem-solving techniques help you move from squashing issues to solving them.
This VIRTUAL level 200 is comprised of 4-hour classes held once per week for 7 weeks (+1 additional week if necessary). The series features interactive exercises to build skills for practical application.
Who Should Attend
The Phoenix Partnership provides three tiers of manufacturing training designed to help prepare newly hired and incumbent manufacturing workers to meet the demands of their workplace and to advance within their companies. Training is funded through grants from the RI Department of Labor & Training.
Participants do not need to be RI residents but must be employed in RI.

About the Instructor
Workforce Project Manager Annie Unger joined Polaris MEP after more than a decade of technical educational experience at the New England Institute of Technology, designing courses such as Metrology, Quality & Manufacturing Planning and instructing workforce training curriculum. A popular Lean and Six Sigma professor, she excels at teaching process improvement methods and ensuring tools are applied successfully.
