The AMCC “Roadshow” comes to RI with an invite-only opportunity to learn about – and help shape! – a new national Manufacturing Communities Ecosystem Metrics tool.

In October of 2022, the American Manufacturing Communities Collaborative (AMCC) was designated by the Economic Development Administration as the nation’s manufacturing Community of Practice. This kicked off a series of AMCC “roadshows” to introduce and shape a new tool that will strengthen manufacturing across the nation.

The AMCC is building an open source roadmap that will provide manufacturing leaders with a metrics that can inform the design and implementation of interventions that

  • promote sustainable development,
  • support economic innovation, inclusive dignity and environmental sustainability, and
  • help state and local economies reach their full potential with a thriving manufacturing sector.

During this breakfast session, AMCC leaders Matt Bogoshian and David Van Siclen will present the benefits of the project — the Manufacturing Communities Ecosystem Metrics — and tool to smaller manufacturers and to the state of Rhode Island.

Two interactive exercises will give local manufacturing leaders and key stakeholders an opportunity to actually shape the tool and state priorities.

Plus, plenty of coffee and light breakfast items!

Polaris MEP is committed to offering the best business improvement programs to Rhode Island Manufacturers.

In order to achieve that goal and to justify continued U.S. Department of Commerce funding for these services, participants are asked to provide impact data and assessment. You’ll be asked for feedback through a short online survey within 1-3 days of this program and possibly again through an impartial third-party survey firm, 6-12 months after the course ends.
