🔥 The Steel Yard’s Iron Pour Returns — and This Year, It’s a Three-Act Experience!
Polaris is supporting The Steel Yard’s 20th Annual Iron Pour, a celebration of metalworking, art, craftsmanship, and community. This year, the experience unfolds across three acts, each offering a different way to experience the fire, creativity, and tradition of the Iron Pour.
🔥 Act I: Enter the Fire
October 3, 2026 | 11:00 am to 4:00 pm | The Steel Yard, 27 Sims Ave, Providence, RI 02909
A free, family-friendly educational event featuring a live production pour, where metal is melted in a furnace and poured into molds. The process dates back to the Bronze Age and remains an important manufacturing process today, helping create everything from cookware and industrial components to monuments and works of art.
The afternoon will also feature:
⚒️ Blacksmithing and jewelry demonstrations
🎨 Hands-on activities
🎶 A DJ
🛍️ An art market featuring local makers and Steel Yard merchandise
🍔 Food trucks and beverages for kids and adults

🔥 Act II: Summon the Firebird

The second act takes the Iron Pour experience into the evening with Summon the Firebird.
