Roughly 10 percent of Rhode Island’s private sector jobs are in the manufacturing sector, and a new study launching today will help identify trends and make recommendations about ways to support small businesses and improve the talent pipeline.
The study is being conducted by Polaris MEP, a nonprofit consulting group. The results will be made public early in 2022 as state lawmakers consider ways to spend $1.1 billion in American Rescue Plan funding, according to director Kathie Mahoney.
