Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee announced in a news conference that the state is launching a program to help women inmates transition from prison and into good-paying, skilled jobs in manufacturing.

The Cranston Patch reported that the RI Department of Corrections is teaming up with Polaris MEP for the program. In addition to skills training, the initiative will include a job fair “tailored to fit the individual interest of inmates.”
