A new IndustryWeek article features the insights and advice of Polaris MEP Supply Chain Program Manager, Kayla Viveiros. Published March 6, 2024, the by-lined piece focuses on “two key areas of supply chain management that small and medium-sized manufacturers often overlook — tracking performance, and training.”

  • Think of supply chain as a lean manufacturing initiative, “tailoring communications, simplifying what measures you are taking, making this relevant to your employees by highlighting how their actions impact a broader goal. and sharing key information.”
  • Set KPIs for supply chain performance.
  • Develop a training plan for each department.
  • Use the SCOR Model to standardize processes.
  • Make supply chain management relevant across your company.
