The RI MADE defense Consortium is made up of a diverse number of partners all focused on supporting and expanding the development and production capabilities of the defense manufacturing industry in Rhode Island. It is comprised of representatives from national innovation institutes, military branches, key OEMs and industry leaders, educational institutions, state agencies, and public/private organizations.

Polaris MEP, the state’s non-profit manufacturing training and business improvement solutions provider, serves as the lead partner in the RI MADE defense consortium. They plan and promote all related activities, including manufacturer and student recruitment and training, workshops, and more.

The ARM Institute’s mission is to create and then deploy robotic technology by integrating the diverse collection of industry practices and institutional knowledge across many disciplines – sensor technologies, end-effector development, software and artificial intelligence, materials science, human and machine behavior modeling, and quality assurance – to realize the promises of a robust manufacturing innovation ecosystem.
