Let Polaris MEP Help You with Registered Apprenticeships

In recognition of last week’s National Apprenticeship Week, Polaris MEP is excited to spotlight new opportunities for manufacturers to strengthen their workforce through Registered Apprenticeships.

With support from a new Ascendium Education Group grant and Apprenticeship RI, as well the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training, Polaris is actively expanding apprenticeship programming across Rhode Island’s manufacturing sector. This funding allows us to work directly with employers to design, launch, and support customized apprenticeship programs—reducing the burden on your team while building a sustainable talent pipeline.

We are already partnering with three Rhode Island manufacturers to develop apprenticeship models tailored to their specific workforce needs—and we are looking to bring additional employers into this work.

Why Apprenticeships?

  • Build a reliable pipeline of skilled workers
  • Train employees to meet your exact operational needs
  • Improve retention and advancement pathways
  • Access technical assistance and funding support through Polaris

A Strong Talent Pipeline Already in Place
Polaris is uniquely positioned to connect apprenticeship programs with job-ready candidates through our existing training partnerships, including:

These programs are actively preparing individuals with the foundational skills needed to transition directly into apprenticeship roles—creating a seamless pipeline from training to employment.

Let’s Build This Together
If you’ve considered apprenticeships but weren’t sure where to start—or if you’re ready to expand your current workforce strategy—Polaris can guide you through every step of the process. We would welcome the opportunity to connect during National Apprenticeship Week to explore how this model could work for your organization.
