Entrepreneurship Expert, Marketing Guru and Manufacturing Specialists Highlight Business-Focused Calendar
PROVIDENCE, RI – Polaris MEP (Manufacturing Extension Partnership), a division of the University of Rhode Island (URI) Research Foundation, has announced the lasted crop of seminars, workshops, and lunch & learns for Rhode Island manufacturers. The second quarter of 2016 finds Polaris MEP addressing real challenges that are facing manufacturers, many of them off of the shop floor.
“We have heard from many Rhode Island manufacturing companies looking grow their business. They have asked for guidance in the areas of growth, entrepreneurship, marketing, and strategic business planning in general,” said Christian Cowan, Center Director for Polaris MEP. “We feel our upcoming events, led by renowned experts, will help manufacturers on the path of intelligent decision making in these areas.”
A key event in April is the Entrepreneurial Process Workshop #1 which is an intense, one day version of the highest rated course at Brown University, led by Danny Warshay. A professor at Brown University, Warshay is serial entrepreneur who co-founded and sold 16 companies acquired by Apple, Medline, Time, Belo Corporation, Sealed Air and Penton Media.

The month of May is packed including two new offerings. The first is the 2016 Marketing Smarter for Manufacturers Series led by TribalVision CEO, Chris Ciunci. This is a 4-part workshop series taking place each Thursday in May.
