The month of December is a reflective month for me, I take some time to reflect on the past year and what is coming up in the next year.
This year my family and I have so much to be grateful for.
We moved to Rhode Island in August, and everyone has been so welcoming. Rhode Island is like a large, extended family. “Everyone knows a guy/gal.”
We have thoroughly enjoyed exploring the state and finding our way around. Although I will admit, it has only been recently that I don’t need Waze to get to the grocery store.
Our favorite thing to do on the weekend is to take a drive and explore a town’s shops, restaurants, and breweries. On one of these recent adventures, I saw the sign above: “When you support small business, you support a DREAM.”
Support Small Businesses
Both professionally and personally, I make it my business to supporting small businesses.
Our family’s adventures have us seeking out those unique places to eat, drink and shop. What are your favorites? Email me your suggestions — I’ll add them to our 2022 trips.
Polaris MEP is mission-driven to support small businesses. Did you know that nearly 87% of all manufacturers in the state employ fewer than 50 team members?
Each day on social media this month, we are highlighting a (small) local manufacturer that produces #MadeInRI products. Follow us on Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn to find something that will make the perfect gift, whether you celebrate a birthday or holiday this month.
Not a social media user? No worries. Click here to view a web page with all our ideas to date.
If you’d like to talk about the big impact of Rhode Island’s small Manufacturing businesses, or about small busines in general, please email me at kmahoney@polarismep.org.
Warm Wishes for a wonderful end to 2021.
