Polaris MEP, the resource for Rhode Island’s small and medium-sized manufacturers, is partnering with RI’s Axiotrop LLC to present an affordable, educational solution to help defense contractors make progress on their journey towards CMMC Level 2.

The cost of CMMC Level 2 has been reported as ranging from $25,000 to $125,000 or more.

Thanks to support from RI MADE, Rhode Island defense manufacturers can participate in this cohort-style, year-long training program at a cost of only $11,000!

Who Needs CMMC Level 2 Certification?

CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) requirements must be met by all manufacturing companies which are in the defense supply chain (or wish to be). The deadline to meet CMMC requiements is early 2025. This applies to all companies within the DoD supply chain — not just “primes”!

The new standards are required in order to even bid for projects. Your contracts may be at risk if you do not have CMMC Level 2.

What Does The “Kickstarter” Include?

By the end of the cohort series, participants in the CMMC Level 2 Kickstarter training powered by RI MADE …

• will gain 60% to 80% of the required CMMC points
• will have a roadmap for additional implementation, purchases and work needed to achieve CMMC Level 2
• will have implemented a CMMC compliance platform
• will benefit from more than 15 hours of group training and more than 80 hours of individual implementation of relevant controls

• Axiotrop LLC is a Rhode Island-based cybersecurity consultancy that simplifies cybersecurity compliance challenges. Axiotrop builds roadmaps and delivers training based on NIST’s cyber security framework.
• Polaris MEP is Rhode Island’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Center, mission-driven to provide top line, bottom line and pipeline solutions for the Ocean State’s manufacturing sector.
