Join us to celebrate the grand opening of JARC RI!

On May 19, Polaris MEP and the Jane Addams Resource Corporation (JARC) welcome supporters from across Rhode Island to officially mark the grand opening of Jane Addams Resource Corporation Rhode Island. JARC RI is a new manufacturing-focused job training hub located on Sims Avenue in Providence.

ABOUT JARC RI

Modeled off JARC’s proven workforce development efforts in Chicago and Baltimore, the core mission of JARC RI is to advance the needs of the manufacturing sector. JARC RI will create well-paying, high-growth job opportunities for traditionally underserved, low-income Rhode Islanders and fill in gaps of RI’s workforce ecosystem.

Services offered at JARC RI will include free job training programs in manufacturing, welding, and CNC machining, as well as support services such as job placement assistance, financial coaching, and English language classes.

WHAT TO EXPECT

• Brief speaking program with remarks from JARC RI leadership and alumni who completed training at JARC Chicago
• Ribbon cutting to officially open the training center
• Tours of the new facility
