One-Day Productivity Workshop for South County & Block Island Makers, Hosted by Dave’s Coffee

Makers who want to make the spring/summer 2024 fair & festival season the best will benefit from learning how to think like a manufacturer.

As creatives and crafters, you deserve the benefits of Lean Manufacturing: less waste, the ability to make more finished goods in the same amount of time, increased sales, reduced stress. But …You can’t get lean if you don’t know what it means!

Polaris MEP’s trusted small business manufacturing advisors can help you achieve greater production efficiency with this One-Day Introduction to Lean Principles & Rules workshop.

Investing a day in this workshop could save you significant hours in crafting/production time over the coming months. Your registration fee includes:

  • Bottomless Dave’s Coffee!
  • Lunch
  • Fun, interactive learning from a Lean expert who has helped dozens of RI companies go from part-time makers to successful full-time manufacturers

A little bit of Lean goes a long way. Past attendees have reported that learning and then implementing a few simple principles of Lean returned immediate and dramatic results.

    • Makers of items frequently sold at craft fairs, festivals and farmers markets (such as jewelry, wooden décor, skin care, crafts, candles and foods)

WHY INVEST IN LEAN MANUFACTURING TRAINING?

Investments in Lean Manufacturing yield a great ROI. For example, with a $5,000 investment in Lean training and implementation, Chi Kitchen enjoyed:

    • $50,000 in direct cost savings
    • $100,000 in new sales and $50,000 in retained sales
    • Hiring additional staff to fulfill new business

This success was only possible because Chi Kitchen’s founder and team implemented Lean thinking and tools in their production.
