The MEP National Network has published a new, data-filled reshoring infographic with insights related to past reliance on foreign sources and the potential for bringing more manufacturing back to the U.S.
The publication notes the top industries reshoring back to America. These include transportation equipment, computer and electronic products, chemicals and textiles. The infographic also hints at the “selling propositions” Rhode Island manufacturers should use when marketing to potential buyers, including:
- Proximity to US customers and markets
- Skilled workforce availability
- Quality, rework and warranty
- Freight costs & delivery
as these are the reasons given for why manufacturers want to move away from offshoring.
