Is your company on the forefront of automation with robots? Or do you manufacture robots? The Rhode Island Robot Block Party, a free community event, is accepting applications to exhibit at the Sunday, April 30, 2017 expo at the Pizzitola Center at Brown University.

Produced by Rhode Island Students of the Future, a  non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging STEAM literacy through youth robotics, and the Humanity Centered Robotics Initiative at Brown University, which studies the societal impact of robotics, the award-winning Robot Block Party includes hands-on robot demonstrations and displays from industry, universities, school groups and community organizations.

The National Robotics Week event, which won a RI Monthly “Best Of” award in 2015 and was featured in Fodor’s New England 2017 print edition, will draw more than 4000 spectators to Providence to interact with exhibits created by: Hasbro, Gibson Engineering, igus, the Rhode Island Museum of Science and Art, and the RI Computer Museum; faculty and students at Brown, RISD, URI, JWU, and RWU, and projects designed by students from local K-12 schools and community groups.

The Robot Block Party also hosts the Brown IEEE Robotics Olympiad, which brings teams of undergraduates from 10-12 universities across the country together for a micro-mouse competition. The Robot Block Party offers companies an opportunity to educate the public about the innovative use of robotics and to interact with their future workforce.
