Polaris MEP is the Rhode Island Center for the MEP National NetworkTM, whose mission it is to strengthen and empower small and medium-sized manufacturing companies in the United States. The Hollings MEP National Network is a part of the National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST), which recently published a terrific infographic that debunks manufacturing myths.
The infographic tackles four common misconceptions about the manufacturing industry. Data and insights gathered from MEP National Network success stories are used to debunk these myths.
- Manufacturing Myth 1: US Manufacturing is in decline. Fact: Employment, shipments and exports are on the rise across the country.
